ScriptRunner Behaviours will soon be available within the main ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud app. See what is changing and when.

Good news: the ScriptRunner Behaviours app is becoming a native part of ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud. Rather than requiring a separate companion app, you'll get all the features and functionality of Behaviours directly within the main ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud interface, giving you a more unified experience.
You can expect to see this update go live by the end of June 2026.

Why the change?

This update is part of ScriptRunner's ongoing infrastructure migration from Atlassian's Connect framework to Forge. Consolidating Behaviours into the core ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud product is another important step in that transition, and one that sets us up to give you a better, more reliable product experience going forward.

What this means for you

If you’re an existing customer
Your Behaviours will continue running exactly as they are. There's no reconfiguring required, and you won't need to worry about interruptions.
When the consolidation update goes live, you may notice a prompt (see the screenshot below) when navigating to Apps > Behaviours in your instance menu. You'll be asked if you'd like to uninstall the standalone Behaviours app.
Illustration of a stylised browser window above the message: 'Good news! Behaviours is no longer a standalone app. This app has been disabled as the functionality it previously provided is now built into ScriptRunner. You can safely uninstall it without losing any data.' Below are two blue buttons labelled 'Uninstall Behaviours' and 'Open Behaviours in ScriptRunner.'
A preview of the message you'll see in the Behaviours app when these changes go live.
Your Behaviours experience will not be affected, but when you see this prompt, we would recommend you choose the option to uninstall. At that point, Behaviours functionality will be fully integrated, and the standalone app will no longer be active. Removing the redundant app will help keep your instance menu clutter-free.
If you're a new customer
This update means you will no longer need to install a separate companion app to access Behaviours. It will all be available to you within ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud, right out of the box!
